Wisconsin Jewish Conference Home Page

Welcome to the Website of the Wisconsin Jewish Conference!

Since 1987, the Wisconsin Jewish Conference has served Wisconsin’s Jewish community as a resource, advocate and clearinghouse for local communities throughout the state. Our primary focus is on the State Capitol in Madison. Whether its separation of church and state, civil rights, fighting bigotry, or protecting our society’s safety net programs, the WJC is there representing Wisconsin’s Jewish community.

WJC Executive Director Michael Blumenfeld addresses the participants of the most recent Wisconsin Jewish Community Legislative Day in the Governor's Conference Room in the State Capitol. For information on some specific issues of concern, please see the hot topics on the right side of this page. To get a flavor of our activities, see our most recent annual summary in the Monthly Reporter newspaper. Past editions of our newsletter, the Capitol Update, are also posted as well as additional information under the links at the top of this page.

“Just as the larger communities make the WJC’s existence a reality, the smaller communities provide its authenticity as a state organization. Truly, with WJC we are neither alone nor powerless… It is a vital and effective organization, worthy of our utmost support”
--Rabbi Dan Danson, Mt. Sinai Congregation, Wausau

Principal funding for the Wisconsin Jewish Conference is provided by the Milwaukee Jewish Federation and the Madison Jewish Community Council. Additional financial support is contributed by other member communities.

A special allocation from the Milwaukee Jewish Federation has underwritten the cost of this website.
